his role in the community?

  1. It is fancier then normal houses in this community. I think it means that his job is very important and he might want to be better then everyone else.

  2. His dwelling i really fancy and it has more books then the ones he has in his dwelling. He can also turn the speaker off in his room so he doesn't have to listen to announcements. He is more than just a member of the committee he is the most important citizen.

  7. The givers dwellings (house) is a lot fancier than everybody else's house so maybe that means since Jonas was selected to be a receiver he will be more successful than everybody else like the Giver is more successful than everybody else because he has a fancier house.
